Brooke Shields, Jim Belushi In Airplane 'Fender Bender'

Pilot Forgot The "Parking Brake" Portion Of The Checklist

Somebody call the Saturday Night Live writers. The pilot of a plane that had taken Brooke Shields and Jim Belushi to an event at Hearst Castle in San Louis Obispo, California forgot to set the parking brake before he left the aircraft, and it hit a rental SUV parked on the tarmac.

The Cessna 421B that had carried Shields and Belushi to the private event rolled a few feet and hit the vehicle, causing minor damage. San Louis Obispo Sheriff PIO Rob Bryn said no one was ever in any danger.

A spokesperson for Shields said the actress was just glad no one was hurt in the incident. Though the damage was minor, local authorities alerted the NTSB, which will dutifully investigate.
