Hartzell Subsidiary Acquires Approved Turbo Components

QAA Joins the Greater Hartzell Family

In a strategic move to enhance its service offerings and market presence, Quality Aircraft Accessories (QAA), a subsidiary of Hartzell Aviation and an Arcline Investment Management portfolio company, has officially announced the acquisition of Approved Turbo Components, Inc. (ATC).

This acquisition, announced on April 8, 2024, is part of QAA's ongoing efforts to bolster its turbocharger overhaul and repair capabilities.

QAA, known for its comprehensive services in the aviation sector, including the overhaul of most piston engine and airframe accessories, is set to integrate ATC's renowned turbo repair and overhaul expertise into its operations. This integration underscores QAA's commitment to expanding its aftermarket support for turbo products, thereby reinforcing its position as a leader in the aviation accessory market.

The acquisition will see QAA retaining the well-established Approved Turbo Components brand, a decision that underscores the value and industry recognition of ATC's services and reputation. Furthermore, Mike Rogers, the former President of ATC, will continue to offer his expertise, ensuring a seamless transition and continuity in the quality of service that customers have come to expect.

Operations related to ATC's overhaul and exchange work are to be relocated to QAA's primary headquarters and manufacturing facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Additionally, QAA plans to utilize its Florida facilities for forward stocking, optimizing its logistics and service delivery across the United States.

This acquisition not only enhances QAA's existing capabilities but also aligns with Hartzell Aviation's mission to offer a comprehensive suite of services and products to the aviation industry. As a subsidiary of Hartzell Aviation, QAA benefits from a robust support network and a legacy of quality and innovation. The collaboration with ATC is anticipated to further QAA's mission of serving aircraft owners and maintainers with high-quality, reliable aviation parts and components.
