True Blue Power Introduces New 45-watt Charging Ports for 14- and 28-volt
Aircraft at AEA International Convention

Expands USB power product line to reach all BA, GA, and commercial markets with full range of 15W, 36W, 45W, 60W and 100W USB chargers

New True Blue Power USB Chargers will be on display in the True Blue Power and Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics booth, #215, throughout AEA, March 18 – 21, at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

True Blue Power, the leader in certified USB charging technology for the aircraft industry, introduced the company’s newest USB charger during the New Product Introductions at the Aircraft Electronics Association (AEA) International Convention and Trade Show in Phoenix, Arizona. New TA245 Series USB Chargers feature a compact footprint and an input voltage of 12 – 32 VDC, delivering the versatility required across all GA, BA and commercial aircraft.

TA245 Series charging ports are available in five configurations, including single and dual USB-C (45W), and USB-A (36W), with adjustable halo ring lighting. The TA245 provides reliable convenience power to smartphones, tablets, electronic flight bags (EFB), and laptop computers. Its ultra-compact design, measures 1.5 inches wide and 1.25 inches deep. This ensures easy installation in tight spaces, including in-seat, cabin, cockpit and galley applications.

“With the introduction of 45-watt charging ports, we now offer USB chargers for any aircraft with a 14-volt or 28-volt electrical bus. The available range of power is unmatched and spans 15 to 100 watts per port,” said Van Winter, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for True Blue Power. “Customers have been asking for more power on lower voltage aircraft for years, and we’re proud to offer this upgrade.”

Faster Charging and Extended Battery Life

The TA245 Series features advanced charging technology, including Qualcomm® Quick ChargeTM 3.0 capability in USB-A ports, and USB Power Delivery (PD) and ultra-fast charging Programmable Power Supply (PPS) technology in USB-C configurations. PPS functionality allows the charger to dynamically adjust voltage in small increments, optimizing power delivery based on the device’s specific needs. This ensures a faster, more efficient charge, extending battery life.

Direct Replacement

TA245 Series is a direct replacement for any True Blue Power USB chargers. Customizable faceplates and adapter plates are available, and the TA245 is compatible with round and square installation options. All True Blue Power USB chargers offer a Limited Lifetime Warranty and feature built-in protection from short circuit, power surge, overload and over-temperature.
