Broward County Sheriff Air Support Unit Selects Becker Avionics' DVCS6100

Digital Audio System To Be Integrated Into Department's EC135

Becker Avionics' DVCS6100 Digital Audio System was recently selected by Broward County Sheriff's Office for integration into their new multi-mission EC135 helicopter. The aircraft will soon undergo completion at Southeast Aerospace and will be specifically tailored to the needs of Broward's Air Support Unit. The DVCS6100 was chosen due to its ability to effectively manage and control all audio sources in the helicopter.

Becker's Digital multichannel audio and intercom system, with its software configurable profiles, provides the flexibility to specifically customize the system to meet the demanding multi-role operational requirements of Broward's Air Support Unit. The DVCS6100 manages all transceivers, receivers and audio warning sources in one central system and provides simulcast capabilities on 8 channels.

"Becker's DVCS6100 is well suited to support our airborne law-enforcement operations," said Sgt. Dale Owens, Director of Operations for the Broward County Sheriff Air Support Unit. The excellent Man-Machine-Interface, outstanding field reliability, the possibility to transmit on up to 8 channels simultaneously and its crystal-clear audio quality made the DVCS6100 our audio system of choice on our new EC135."

Brett Gardner, Director of Sales and Marketing at Becker Avionics, commented, "We are very proud that Broward County Sheriff selected our product, further confirming that our aircraft Digital Audio system is gaining broad acceptance throughout the US airborne law enforcement community". He continued, "Becker Avionics is the brand leader in aircraft Digital Audio and intercom solutions for Helicopter and Fixed-Wing aircraft applications, along with being one of our best selling products as well."
