Aeroflot A319s, 320s to be Stopped by Goodrich

Russian Airline Selects Goodrich Hooks for Newest Airplanes

Goodrich Corporation has entered into an agreement with Aeroflot Russian Airlines to provide wheels and brakes for their new Airbus A319/A320 fleet of 18 aircraft. The new aircraft will enter into service this year.

According to Keith Campbell, Director Airline Sales, "Aeroflot's decision demonstrates its confidence in our A319/A320 wheel and brake product, support and global services. Winning this business is only the first step. At Goodrich we will build upon our well established, strong foundation by continuing to support Aeroflot with both reliable and cost effective equipment."

Established in 1994, Aeroflot's history dates back to 1923 -- the dawn of civil aviation in the Soviet Union. Aeroflot has traditionally been the number one carrier in the USSR, and later, Russia. With more than five million passengers, Aeroflot is carrying on the great tradition of Russian aviation. Aeroflot provides service to 108 destinations in 54 countries and operates 210 commercial aircraft.

Aeroflot predicts that the Russian airliner market will require over 400 new aircraft of 80+ seat capacity by 2015.
