Thommen CEO Announces Investments In New R&D Capabilities

Stéphane Jaquier Calls Growth Plan 'Ambitious'

Stéphane Jaquier, Chief Executive Officer of Swiss avionics manufacturer Thommen Aircraft Equipment Ltd., recently revealed an ambitious growth plan for the company with substantial investments in a new line of digital avionics and display solutions. Reputed for delivering highly reliable and durable equipment for over 100 years, Thommen will thereby strengthen its successful portfolio of air data systems, digital aircraft clocks and mission systems with new and innovative solutions, customizable and tailored to the customer’s needs and constraints, in the pure tradition of Swiss quality and precision.

“We are very excited about our new product roadmap and look very much forward to serving new markets together with our industrial partners and our valued OEM customers,” reported Stéphane Jaquier. “We are putting a lot of efforts in our R&D capabilities and recently hired highly skilled design engineers to support our programs. We are looking for additional young and motivated professionals to help us reach our goals. I am very proud of what we have achieved so far and I am confident this will carry the company toward a new level of capabilities and services."

Thommen’s portfolio include mission equipment, displays, air data computers and displays, digital clocks and chronographs for helicopters, fixed wing aircraft & UAVs. Thommen also offers superior aviation qualified Flashlights. The entire product line serves both the OEM production of new aircraft as well as the retrofit market for existing fleets. As a certified manufacturer and MRO provider, Thommen newly supplies interior lighting and unique cabin protection bags used to deal with lithium-ion battery fires in electronic equipment.
