Avionics Innovations' ICE DVD/CD Player Meets Helo Spec

Tracking Not Impacted By Vertical Mounting Position

Rugged unit gives helicopter operators a new IFE option for high-vibration environments.

Avionics Innovations, Inc. told ANN Friday its remote-mounted, multi-region ICE DVD/CD/mp3 player has successfully met DO-160E vibration testing standards when vertically mounted... clearing the way for the device's use in helicopter environments.

A vertical mounting places more stress on playback units' tracking ability... but Avionics Innovations says its rugged, high-reliability ICE (Integrated Cabin Entertainment) system player passed all test procedures.

Installed with a passenger control unit (PCU), the vibration-resistant playback unit offers helicopter operators another reason to specify Avionics Innovations' ICE system, a modular package that can include such components as Sirius satellite radio, video amplifier and an LCD screen.

Avionics Innovations, Inc., of Ramona, CA designs and manufactures a complete line of video and audio entertainment systems for corporate, airline and general aviation.
