What Do You Think Was Best/Worst About 2005, And What Will 2006 Bring?

The Year That Was, And The Year That Will Be

As the pages rapidly dwindle on our 2005 Golden Age Of Flight desktop calendar (today's plane is a Grumman Hellcat) the gang at Aero-News is working feverishly to compile our lists of the good, the bad, and the ADIZ -- um, ugly -- from the last year. As you know, there is no shortage of opinions among the ANN staff... but we'd also like to hear from our readers on what YOU think was good about this year, and what wasn't.

What do you think was the best piece of news, or the most worthwhile event, to have emerged in the last year? What do you feel might have the most lasting impact -- positive, and/or detrimental -- to the lives of pilots, and to the aviation industry as a whole?

And while it would be nice to focus only on the positive aspects of the aviation biz, what do you think were some of the least positive things that occurred in 2005?

Of course, as we look to the past we also want to keep an eye out for the future. To that end, we've also dusted off our official Burt Rutan And His Amazing Superfriends tarot cards (autographed!) and used them to try and look to what the next year may bring to the world of aviation and aerospace. Unfortunately, the view of the cards is somewhat limited... "a lot of private rockets" is pretty much it.

So once again, we put the call out to our readers. What are some of the things you're eagerly anticipating 2006 to bring, and what is looming on the horizon that you feel we should keep a watchful eye on?

This is your opportunity to tell us what you feel were the most newsworthy events of 2005 -- as well as events and products you feel will have a significant impact on the year ahead. Is it a new airplane? A potentially limiting piece of legislation? We want to know!

We also want you to be candid: we want to know exactly how you feel, and besides... you can remain confidential, if you so desire. So send in your thoughts today, and watch for our year-end wrap-ups at... yep, year's-end.

Which -- eep -- isn't very far away!
