MSNBC Hosts On Plane That Made Emergency Landing

Pilot Reported Smoke In The Cockpit

A Delta Connection flight heading from New York to Charleston, South Carolina diverted to Myrtle Beach Wednesday afternoon when the pilot reported smoke in the cockpit.

The Associated Press reports that among the passengers on the plane were MSNBC personalities Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough. The two were on their way to Charleston to moderate a debate between the Republican candidates for Governor of South Carolina scheduled for Thursday. Lauren Morris, Department of Airports sokeswoman for Horry County, said the plane reportedly landed Wednesday afternoon about 1300 Wednesday.

The two hosts had plenty of time to get to Charleston, and Scarborough posted on his Twitter account that they were driving on to the debate.
