Flight Design USA Adds Four Flight Schools To Pilot Center Roster

More Fight Design Pilot Centers Improve Customer Convenience

Flight Design USA announced the addition of four new flight schools to their growing roster of Flight Design Pilot Centers (FDPC) Monday. With the additions, Flight Design claims a network of 21 pilot centers using Flight Design Light-Sport Aircraft, which the company believes to be the largest in America.

Flight Design USA welcomes Iowa Air in Cedar Rapids, Iowa operated by Tim Busch; Paragon Flight Training in Fort Myers, Florida, operated by Jeffrey Wolf; Ocala Aviation in Ocala, Florida operated by Allen Buskirk; and Acadiana Flight Center at Acadiana Regional Airport (KARA) in New Iberia, Louisiana operated by Robert Viator.

In anticipation of an improving 2010, Flight Design says it goal is to continue to place CTLS aircraft with established flight schools. "We know flight schools recognize the Flight Design brand and are aware of our modern CTLS with its full glass screen instrument panels, standard airframe parachute system, huge roomy cabin with wide-entry doors, and student-friendly flight characteristics," reported Flight Design USA National Sales Manager, John Gilmore.

"We have been very pleased to weather 2009 with a growing list of flight schools that see the value, efficiency, and student appeal for our CTLS Light-Sport," said Flight Design USA president, Tom Peghiny. "We can offer these businesses a modern aircraft with low acquisition and operation costs that also impresses younger students." CTLS burns 5.5 gallons an hour at cruise, and offers more cockpit room with greater visibility than many other aircraft flight schools are using. Instructors say it is easy to land and operate giving immediate positive feedback to students."

Flight Design USA is the U.S. importer of the CT series from Germany. The Flight Design CTLS is an all-carbon-fiber Light-Sport Aircraft with a wide, comfortable cabin with unparalleled visibility; an 850-NM range at 115 knots using only 5 gph.  A full glass panel, Garmin radio stack and a BRS airframe parachute are all standard equipment. Flight Design LSAs are backed with a nationwide service network, next-day parts availability and an established company serving more than 1,500 airplanes worldwide.
