Also: Plastic Fuel, 747 Down, Great Lakes, Lily Suit, Neffenger Stepping Down, Coast Flt Training, Boeing-SpiceJet

EAA-AirVenture is many things to many people, and not the least of these is the story of historic flights and great aviators as well as the latest innovations to be found in recreational aviation.

In order to highlight all of these, EAA has adopted a “theme format” to make it easier for individuals to find what it is that interests them the most at EAA AirVenture 2017. Historic aviation achievements, legendary pilots, and groundbreaking innovations will all be featured as some of the themes, and each day of AirVenture will feature a program or occurrence that presents unique highlights for the theme being featured on that specific day. We’ve been told the 40th Annual Tico Warbird Airshow will be held on March 10-12, and will include the USAF Thunderbirds, a unique Night Airshow, historic flying warbirds, and aerial stunt performers. The show is held at the Space Coast Regional Airport in Titusville, Florida. Hosted by the Valiant Air Command Warbird Museum, the show is touted as a celebration of “all things warbird,” but will, of course, also include demonstrations from high-performance modern aircraft, helicopters, and pyrotechnic effects. Thousands of pilots who have taken ground training courses from King Schools to obtain pilot certification and additional ratings, and now King Schools is offering a course for a pilot certificate that does not allow the pilot to leave the ground. Drone pilots who want to fly their drones for non-recreational purposes can now quickly and conveniently pass their Remote Pilot test with the new King School’s online Drone Pilot Ground School and Test Prep Course. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
