ACASS Granted First Air Operator Certificate By The Republic Of San Marino

Allows Company To Operate Aircraft For Charter And Medevac Services To Third Parties

ACASS and the Republic of San Marino Civil Aviation Authority (San Marino CAA) are proud to announce that ACASS is the first operator to be granted a commercial air operator certificate (AOC) No. SM 001 in the Republic of San Marino.

This new AOC will provide ACASS with the opportunity to expand its clients' services by operating aircraft commercially and to charter or for medevac to third parties under the internationally recognized T7- registration.

"San Marino CAA ensures commercial air transport operators provide public transport services with the highest degree of safety possible for the travelling public. The certification process follows international requirements to ensure that prospective AOC holders understand their obligations and are capable of fulfilling their duties. The AOC certification process was accomplished in a smooth and timely manner and in full compliance with San Marino CAA laws and regulations," said Marco Conti Director General SMCAA
The Republic of San Marino has an attractive fiscal regime, a very competitive scheme of fees for AOCs, extensive regulations, which fully comply with ICAO Standards, and guidance publications to support the AOC certification in a timely and cost-effective manner.  In addition to San Marino based Inspectors, the CAA has trained and experienced Inspectors based in strategic locations around the world.

Speaking on behalf of the San Marino Aircraft Registry the President of the Registry, David Colindres, said "It's an honour ACASS chose San Marino for the location of its European branch. Since day one we have aimed to become a premier aircraft registry composed of the best aviation safety professionals in the business to ensure our clients receive a higher quality of service. The Registry is also grateful to work with a Civil Aviation Authority that understands the regulatory processes and has the necessary expertise and guidance material to ensure operators meet their international obligations"

For ACASS, Executive Vice President David Dorrance added, "We found the process to be timely, precise and very cost-effective. There was guidance throughout the AOC certification by a highly trained team of technical experts who recognise the importance of service excellence. The San Marino AOC will be of great value to our clients who may be interested in offering their aircraft for charter. The AOC also allows our clients who wish to register aircraft in San Marino to take advantage of the ACASS interim lift program and lease their aircraft with third parties, safely in operation control under ACASS. T7- registration also enables our clients to have a safe and fiscally responsible jurisdiction with a complete set of commercial regulations that are totally compliant with international standards and focus on client service and "real world" business operations."
