On September 6, the Boeing Starliner completed a successful uncrewed landing at White Sands Space Harbor in New Mexico.
This concluded its accidental 3-month stay on the International Space Station. The Starliner launched its first crewed mission on June 5 for what was supposed to be an eight-day stay. Due to helium leaks and issues with the control thrusters, its trip was extended and NASA was forced to transfer the crew to an upcoming SpaceX mission. A drone pilot flew his drone at altitudes over 12,000 feet on numerous occasions in the Boston, England, area that flights by the Royal Air Force, National Police Air Service, and an air ambulance had to divert to deconflict the airspace. Police said the drone pilot often flew his UAS between 7,000 and over 12,000 feet and displayed “blatant disregard” for the rules governing unmanned aircraft. VerdeGo Aero announced it closed an A-1 round of investment and exceeded the $4 million target established to accelerate development of its hybrid-electric products. VerdeGo manufactures hybrid-electric powerplants for reliable, high-performance aircraft and drones for
the commercial and military markets. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne-NextGen!!!
