Ninety-three Year Old Great-Great-Grandmother Jumps!

Saw great-granddaughter do it on video, figured she had nothing to lose but altitude

Luree Kotz is 93 years old. She's got six children, 35 grandchildren, 75 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. A couple of years ago she celebrated her ninety-first birthday by riding the mechanical bronco at the Cassia County (ID) Fair.

"She kept on telling the guy to speed it up," said John Price, a grandson-in-law. "She got so mad 'cause he wouldn't do it." Take it from us, folks -- this woman is something else. Want more proof?

The other day she saw a video of a great-granddaughter jumping from an airplane, and she decided she just had to do it too. When asked why, she told the Idaho Star-Tribune "Because it's a new adventure." As good a reason as any, her family figured.

So they all packed into cars -- thirteen cars, to be exact -- and headed off to the Caldwell (ID) airport to see her do just that -- jump from an airplane and float to the ground on a parachute. With an instructor, of course.

When she landed, someone asked her what she is planning on doing for her next birthday to top what she did on this one. "I'll have to wait and see if I have one," she said.  ANN will be waiting for word, because we're sure it's going to be some bash.
