WOW Conference Cancelled Due To Slow Registration

International Women's Air & Space Museum Hopes For A Successful Conference Next Year

The International Women's Air And Space Museum has cancelled the Wings of Women (WOW) conference planned for October 10th due to a lack of registrations for the event.

In an email sent to ANN, museum education specialist Rebecca Dickenson said "We regret to inform you that the conference has been canceled. The deadline was extended from the 10th to today, the 25th, and we have an extremely low number of students. Unfortunately, this number is not enough to go through with a whole conference."

The WOW conference is geared towards late middle school and high school young women interested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) related career fields.

In a post appearing on the museum Facebook page, organizers said they hope that the effort will be more successful in 2016.
