Jeppesen, has introduced a new version of its Mobile FliteDeck VFR app.

The new 2.0 version of the iPad- based Mobile FliteDeck VFR solution presents real time flight information that is uniquely displayed. Mobile FliteDeck VFR now provides pilots with essential data-driven weather forecasts that can integrate with other information on screen. The U.S. Civil Air Patrol has placed an order for 21 new Cessna Skyhawk 172 aircraft, the latest in a relationship spanning 40 years. CAP, a federally chartered non-profit organization and designated by Congress in 1948 as the Air Force auxiliary, performs services for the federal government and for states and local communities such as search-and-rescue and disaster relief. In a statement, the NBAA said the exclusion of per-flight user fees for general aviation from President Obama’s fiscal year 2016 budget reflected progress on the issue, although a renewed call for lengthening business aircraft depreciation schedules presents a continuing challenge.
