New Agreement Develops Low-Carbon Hydrogen Supply at Key Sites in UK
ZeroAvia has embarked on an agreement with UK power specialist ScottishPower, moving forward to "develop low carbon hydrogen supply to key airport locations".
In addition to infrastructure development, the duo will explore airport hydrogen supply models and financing" as well as "clean power requirements and hydrogen production infrastructure for potential future ZeroAvia sites". ScottishPower will aim to provide suitable locales under its purview inside Scotland, North West England and North Wales. Their firm is already 100% renewable, according to their reports. ScottishPower's energy is created by its UK wind farm, though it notes that it offers retail and business customers "wholly clean energy on green tariffs".
ZeroAvia also announced a deal for 70 hydrogen powered engines to local Scottish firm Ecojet. That relationship will strengthen the hydrogen infrastructure in local airports near Glasgow and Aberdeen, once it all comes into being.

"We welcome the opportunity to support the aviation industry in delivering effective solutions for this important sector, enabling long term sustainable and cost–effective outcomes for customers.”

"Working with leading energy companies like ScottishPower can help us overcome fueling infrastructure challenges.”
