November Flight Performance Compiled for Top 30 US Airports

FlightStats, a provider of real-time and historical flight performance information, has released an on-time performance report for the 30 busiest airports in the US. The data underscores the need for travelers to make informed flight purchasing decisions to reduce their travel frustrations.

For instance... if you were scheduled to arrive at Newark (EWR) in the evening last month, chances are better than not that you did not arrive on time. Only 43% of all evening flights into Newark arrived on time with 30% arriving more than 45 minutes late and 3.7% of all flights cancelled. If you must fly into Newark, try to select a flight arriving in the morning where 86% of all flights arrive on time.

LaGuardia International (LGA) in New York mirrored the EWR lows without the highs. Evening arrivals at LGA were on time only 45% of the time with 28% of all flights more than 45 minutes late and 3.3% cancelled. Morning inbound flights at LGA arrived on-time 77% of the time - the best options of the day. At the other end of the spectrum are flights arriving in Phoenix, and Denver. Throughout the day, 87% of all flights into PHX and DEN arrived on time.

If you are flying into Chicago, you might try a morning arrival at Midway, where 92% of all November flights arrived on time. O'Hare delivers 84% on time in the Morning.

"Delays happen." Says Jeff Kennedy, CEO of Conducive Technology, maker of FlightStats. FlightStats Ratings let travelers see how virtually every flight has performed in the last 60 days relative to other flights and presents a single and easy to understand score.
