Heli Transair Purchases Three Bell 505 Helicopters

Adds To Fleet For Utility Patrol and Cargo Transport In Germany

Bell Textron announced during the European Rotors 2025 Conference that the utility and cargo operator Heli Transair European Air Services GmbH (Heli Transair), based in Egelsbach, Germany, signed a purchase agreement for three additional Bell 505 helicopters through the support of its Bell 505 dealer, Rheinland Air Service GmbH. The purchase brings Heli Transair’s Bell 505 fleet to a total of five aircraft.

Heli Transair has bases strategically located in Frankfurt, Kiel, and Landshut, from where the company supports major power and energy providers across Germany. The new aircraft will be joining the utility operator for a variety of mission types including power line inspections, external load operations, and pilot training for both private and governmental customers.

Robin Wendling, Managing Director of Europe for Bell said, “Bell is very pleased to support Heli Transair as they add three additional Bell aircraft to advance their utility fleet. The Bell 505 provides a modern and efficient multi-mission solution to utility operators, backed up by Bell leading customer support.”

Dirk Herr, CEO, Heli Transair European Air Services GmbH said, “With the introduction of the Bell 505, Heli Transair is setting new standards in technology, efficiency and comfort – an adaption to changing customer demands that lays the foundation for future-oriented flight operations and modern training.”

The Bell 505 boasts the highest hook load capability in the short-light single class, and combined with its Safran Arrius 2R engine and dual FADEC, the aircraft is well-suited for critical safety missions and utility use.

Johannes Graf von Schaesberg, CEO of Rheinland Air Service GmbH said, “We’re proud to support Heli Transair in expanding their fleet with the Bell 505. The aircraft’s performance and versatility make it an ideal choice for utility and training missions across Germany, and we’re pleased to strengthen our successful partnership with Bell through this project.”
