New Training Device Arrives At Miami Training Facility

Flat Panel System Can Replace Some Simulator Functions

Aerosim Technologies, a provider of low cost, hi-fidelity simulation software training products within the aviation industry, announced Thursday the placement of a B757-200 Enhanced Virtual Procedure Trainer at a leading commercial pilot type training center in Miami, Florida.  Aerosim's Enhanced Virtual Procedure Trainer (eVPT) is designed to serve as a cost effective means to improving the efficiency and quality of flight training programs.

Says Aerosim President, Dave Rapley; "This is one of our top Virtual Procedure Trainer customers and we are pleased that they are now including the Enhanced model in the Miami Training Center."

Aerosim's Enhanced Virtual Procedure Trainer is a flat panel based crew training device designed to optimize training time and improve the learning process for pilots and maintenance personnel. Theory, practice, technical details, operational issues and human factors are brought together in a realistic environment. The VPT allows real-time interaction with aircraft systems in a structured training environment or complete free-play. The addition of flight controls and a visual system take the Enhanced Virtual Procedure Trainer to the realm of ground operations and in-flight training. Training that was previously practiced on the full flight simulator now can be performed in the Virtual Procedure Trainer at a fraction of the cost.
