CALC Purchases 15 Additional Airbus A320neo Aircraft

Brings Airbus Fleet To 143 Airplanes

Hong Kong leasing company CALC has ordered 15 additional Airbus A320neo aircraft, with the similar terms and conditions under the Aircraft Purchase Agreement signed with Airbus S.A.S. (“Airbus”) on December 28, 2017.

The aggregate list price for the additional airbus aircraft is approximately $1.63 billion. These Airbus A320neo aircraft will be delivered to the Group in stages between 2022 and 2023. Following this incremental order, CALC’s total order book with Airbus will increase to 217 aircraft.

The Group currently owns a fleet of 107 aircraft, and its backlog after the new order stands at 193 aircraft (143 Airbus and 50 Boeing).

The businesses and subsidiaries of the Group are involved in two main business areas comprising new aircraft leasing and used aircraft recycling and disassembling. CALC’s scope of business includes regular operations such as aircraft operating leasing, purchase and leaseback, and structured financing, as well as value-added services such as fleet planning, fleet replacement package deals, aircraft disassembling and component sales. CALC is currently the largest aircraft operating lessor in China.
