Aero-TV: HeliWagon -- The Ultimate Landing Dolly

Providing Extraordinary Flexibility For Helicopter Operators

Sometimes an idea is so simple it just eludes the rest of us who tend to look for far more complex solutions... because we think that's where the true answers are.

Not so with Heliwagon... who decided that the way to make a truly versatile helicopter landing pad, was to make it remote controllable so that It could be wherever an operator needed it without a lot of effort and fuss.

HeliWagon claims to have built the most advanced mobile landing pad in the world -- "enabling the pilot or ground crew to have 360 degree walk around visibility with 100% positive control during aircraft movement on the ground." With recessed lighting which provides a safe landing in low light situations, the landing lights are easily controlled from the remote control.

The HeliWagon platform is engineered to provide a stable, safe landing platform for light to medium skid helicopters. I

ndustrial grade casters and drive wheels are designed to comfortably traverse minor changes in grade and clear low obstacles. The deck surfaces are coated with a thick, tough durable spray-on, non skid polyurethane liner that is resistant to fuels, hydraulic fluids, and most chemicals. The recessed deck lid fasteners protect skids from damage. Additionally; powder coated steel chassis components and a combination of stainless steel or corrosion resistant fasteners provide industrial grade protection in humid coastal environments.
