See How Dangerous This Is?

Delta Agent Demonstrates by Sticking Himself With Syringe

It happened last Friday, at the Jacksonville (FL) airport (JAX): a Delta ticket agent, the story goes, was demonstrating to National Guard troops just how dangerous syringes can be... or something.

According to station WJXT, the man, in the process of showing these troops (no one is saying why he was doing this) the dangers of pointy things, accidentally stuck himself.

The syringe wasn't one of those "stage props," either; and it wasn't empty. It contained atropine, used to counter the effects of some nerve gases. It is also a potent poison, derived from belladona.

We don't know why there was an atropine demonstration going on at JAX, or why a ticket agent was in charge of it; but we do know the man was checked out by Jacksonville Fire and Rescue, and OK'd to return to work. However, we don't know if he returned to work, or just went home...
