Alteon Names Sherry Carbary As New President

Comes From Boeing Commercial Airplanes

Alteon Training, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, announced recently that Sherry Carbary has been named president of the company. Carbary will be responsible for Alteon's business performance and day-to-day operations.

Carbary moves to the Alteon leadership position after being vice president of Strategic Management for Boeing Commercial Airplanes. She replaces Patrick Gaines, who has been named Boeing vice president of Customer Support for the Asia-Pacific region.

"Sherry is a proven leader and her knowledge and business savvy will be an invaluable contribution toward Alteon's performance plan for new airplane and recurrent airline training support," said Lou Mancini, vice president and general manager of Boeing Commercial Aviation Services. "I also want to thank Pat for the exceptional leadership and customer focus that he brought to Alteon."

As head of the Marketing and Business Strategy group at Boeing, Carbary's prime responsibilities included leading the integration of airline product and services strategy and the development of BCA's Global Enterprise strategy. Previous positions at Boeing included business director & deputy vice president, BCA International Sales; director of Investor Relations for Boeing World Headquarters; BCA director of Revenue Management; and regional director of Marketing for Airline Financial Analysis, among other accomplished lead positions.

Alteon is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company within Boeing Commercial Airplanes' Commercial Aviation Services group. The training organization supports the world's aviation community with more than 70 full flight simulators in over 20 locations around the world.
