FuelerLinx Unveils Fuel Price Analysis Software

Breaks Down Pricing Data Into Easily-Compared Segments

Given the volatile state of the futures market for oil, it strikes ANN that any tool operators may use to lower their fuel costs is welcome, and timely. FuelerLinx recently unveiled a proprietary software system that helps jet owners streamline their flight departments, and save money on every fuel purchase.

FuelerLinx analyzes contract fuel prices, comparing them across locations and suppliers to determine the lowest fuel prices available at specific volumes. Subscribers set their own parameters so that analysis includes only data for relevant locations, suppliers and FBOs.

"Fuel price spikes in 2008 forced flight departments to change their buying habits," said Kevin Moller, President of Fuelerlinx. "Even though fuel prices have come down, companies are demanding cost-cutting efforts in all areas of business in response to the troubled economy."

A major challenge that flight departments face when trying to analyze fuel data is that spreadsheets from different suppliers are not directly comparable, with vendors setting price breaks at different fuel volumes. FuelerLinx claims its software solves that problem, by quickly breaking pricing data into categories that are more easily comparable.

"We were determined to find a way to automate the process," says Dennis Cruz, VP of Marketing, FuelerLinx. "Comparing data sheets manually is such a tedious process -- and an expensive one in terms of employee hours."

To place a fuel order, a subscriber only needs to identify the aircraft, choose an airport and indicate the amount of fuel needed. In short order, FuelerLinx will return the best contract fuel prices among all FBOs on the field in ranked order for the chosen fuel volume. Then, fuel orders can be dispatched directly through the FuelerLinx software.

Once an order is placed, FuelerLinx tracks the fueling then sends an email to the FBO, fuel provider, pilot and other contacts chosen by the subscriber, and records the order in an event calendar, all with one click.

FuelerLinx stresses it does not profit from fuel sales and is unbiased with respect to all fuel suppliers. Subscribers will receive one month free with an annual subscription.
