Airplane Suffers Damage During Greenwood Lakes Air Show

Tipped Nose-Down While Taxiing. Pilot Uninjured

An airplane taking part in the Greenwood Lakes Air Show in West Milford, NJ was slightly damaged on Sunday when it tipped forward while taxiing and the propeller hit the ground. The pilot was uninjured in the incident.

The website northjersey.com reports that the incident occurred about 1 p.m. local time at Greenwood Lake Airport (4N1) in West Milford, NJ. The type of aircraft was not noted, but township police Sgt. George Richnavsky said "for some reason, it just tipped forward." The plane was pushed off the runway and later towed to a hangar pending the arrival of the FAA and NTSB.

Following the incident, the show's air boss Kevin Sullivan and a man who said he was the show's producer Tim Wagner had no comment for the media, and Wagner allegedly asked a reporter to leave the premises when questioned about the accident were raised.
