CALC Delivers First Batch Of Aircraft To Lucky Air And West Air

Seizing Opportunities In The Civil Aviation Market And Catering To The Demands Of Clients

China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Limited (CALC) has delivered one Airbus A320 aircraft each to Lucky Air and West Air respectively in November. The delivery is the first batch of aircraft the Group has made to the two airlines, marking the commencement of the official cooperation between CALC and HNA Group. This move not only maximizes on the opportunities presented by the fast developing aviation market in China, but also satisfies the strong demand from airline customers for new and single-aisle civil aircraft.

The successful delivery fulfils the Group’s Letters of Intent with Lucky Air and West Air for the lease of two respective A320 aircraft signed earlier this year. Ms. Winnie LIU, Deputy CEO and Chief Commercial Officer of CALC, commented, “The rapid development of aviation market and aviation tourism in China translates into strong demand for highly efficient civilian aircraft with a sound performance record from airlines based in western China. CALC believes the new delivered aircraft can increase clients’ operational capacity and create greater benefits.”

Ms. Liu added, “The successful delivery once again demonstrates CALC’s competence in providing tailored aircraft leasing solutions for clients in an ever-changing market, by leveraging our close relationship with aircraft manufacturers and our diversified financing channels in the global market. It also showcases our passion for aviation sector as well as our dedication and professionalism in aircraft leasing. This enables CALC to help clients to manage capital efficiently and to maintain operating flexibility.”

CALC’s current portfolio consists of 75 current generation Airbus and Boeing aircraft with an average age of less than 4 years. The Group is committed to its globalization strategies, while enhancing its cooperation with domestic airline companies. Its goal is to build a balanced customer portfolio of Chinese and non-Chinese airline clients by 2020.
