Flight Simulator, on Discovery Wings

Sims on TV -- Kind of Rounds Things Out, eh?

On Wednesday, July 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, Discovery Wings Channel will debut its one-hour documentary, Flight Simulator. The July 16 launch of Discovery Wings Channel's documentary and the July 29 launch of the 20th-anniversary edition of Microsoft's award-winning Flight Simulator software, "Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight," together celebrate the awe-inspiring centennial of powered flight.

The television special will bring viewers innovation, nostalgia and the "as real as it gets" experience of simulated computer flight, demonstrating how flight simulation is used today -- in military, commercial, civil aviation training and personal computing environment. "Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight" plays a prominent role in the one-hour special, with much of the documentary shot on location in the Aces Studio in Redmond (WA).
