A Geek Squad Take-Over At NASA?

Griffin Begins Making His Mark On Space Agency

The shuttle shuffle is underway at NASA, where new Administrator Michael Griffin has sent out notices to some 50 executives, warning of big changes in their job titles.

Already, according to media reports, one NASA leader has resigned as the reorganization gets underway.

SpaceRef.com reports Rear Admiral Craig Steidle (USN, Ret.) tendered his resignation Tuesday. It's effective on June 24th. He's NASA's associate administrator at the Exploration Systems Mission Directorate.

The pending reorganization seems to be an indication that Griffin has a plan. Under federal law, he can't force NASA workers to change jobs or resign -- until he's been on the job for 120 days.
