Baldwin Aviation, TrainingPort.net, Sign Mutual Agreement

Pact Will Enhance SMS Training And Availability, Companies Say

Baldwin Aviation, which offers online web-based safety management (SMS) and FDM programs for flight organizations, and TrainingPort.net, an online company which provides customized and comprehensive instructional programs and record keeping, have announced that they have signed an agreement to enhance the content and delivery of IS-BAO compliant Safety Management training to their customers.

Scheduled for launch at the NBAA's 62nd Annual Meeting & Convention in Orlando, Florida, next week, the jointly developed programs will feature training content focused on a variety of business aviation-related topics, including Safety Management presented by Dr. David Huntzinger, vice president of Safety and Security for Baldwin Aviation, Fatigue Management developed and presented by Dr. Mark Rosekind, president and chief scientist of Alertness Solutions, and Meteorology, offered by Dr. Karsten Shein, climatologist at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA's) National Climatic Data Center.  The subject matter will be delivered throughout the year, in 15-minute long segments online which will allow the trainees to actively participate while maintaining their working schedules.  TrainingPort.net's system will automatically maintain audit ready records which meet the requirements for IS-BAO registration, as well.

"This arrangement allows us to incorporate Baldwin Aviation's hands-on, customized Safety Management training into easily available, concise segments that can be accessed by our customers on their schedules and in manageable portions that allow them to have the benefit of training tailored to their needs without having to interrupt their business routines for extended periods.  It also permits us to offer the valuable and expert instruction of leading authorities in their fields like Dr. Rosekind and Dr. Shein.  This is a 'win-win' for our customers and another example of how Baldwin Aviation continues to take advantage of technology to serve their needs," said Don Baldwin, president and CEO of Baldwin Aviation.

"The regulatory trend within business aviation is mandating safety management programs.  By partnering with Baldwin Aviation, we're able to deliver industry leading content and help our mutual customers mitigate risk.  We're excited to be able to offer them this added value," added Scott Macpherson, president of TrainingPort.net.
