We will continue to update and adapt our defenses as needed to ensure air travel is both safe and efficient."

Source: Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitan, in a statement announcing increased security measures following the December 25th attemted bombing of a US-bound airliner, and intellegence reports that other attacks may be planned.
