Rotax Releases New 914 Service Instruction

Increases The Ignition Check ("Mag Drop") Limitations For The Type 914 (Series) Engines

Rotax has issued a NEW Service Instruction for 914 (series) engines. Effective immediately, the ignition check ("Mag Drop") limits found on Page 3-9 of the current 914 Operators Manual have increased from 300/115 to 500/150. This update will be incorporated into the next revision of the 914 Operators Manual.

If your aircraft is equipped with a Rotax 914 (Series) aircraft engine, you should familiarize yourself and/or have your aircraft maintenance provider become familiar with the contents of this document.

Owners of aircraft equipped with Rotax 914 engines are advised to download and review this Service Instruction. If you own or operate a Rotax 914 (series) engine make sure you update your documentation to include this new specification change. Ensure that everyone who operates your Rotax 914 (Series) engine is aware of this new ignition check ("mag drop") specification change.
