Will Be Recognized For Outstanding Achievement And Leadership
The NBAA will present Holly Pendleton – a former chairman, vice chairman and currently education coordinator for the Association’s Schedulers & Dispatchers (S&D) Committee – with NBAA’s 2015 Schedulers & Dispatchers Outstanding Achievement & Leadership Award.

NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen will present Pendleton with the award during NBAA's 2015 Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference (SDC2015), to be held Feb. 3 to 6 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, CA.
Created in 2008, the S&D award recognizes individuals who have shared their outstanding business aviation industry expertise, provided extraordinary service, exhibited leadership and made significant contributions to the scheduling and dispatching function.
Pendleton, a long-time mentor to many in the industry, is senior flight operations coordinator at Aflac Inc., where she has worked for 28 years scheduling Aflac’s two aircraft and managing all the associated administrative functions. For the last 25 years, Pendleton has not missed an NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference, where she has served in a leadership capacity, as well as a participant.
“Holly is an expert in her field,” said Mike Scheller, aviation director at Aflac. “Her contributions have impacted the quality, growth and education of the scheduling industry. Her 25-year personal dedication and service have advanced the function of scheduling and dispatching within the business aviation community and at Aflac.”
Pendleton has been instrumental in furthering the recognition and professional development of schedulers and dispatchers through her leadership and participation on the NBAA S&D Committee, the S&D Advisory Council and S&D Roundtable Group, which she recently formed and now leads.
“Holly is one of NBAA’s most trusted resources for ensuring that our work is in step with the continuous modernization of the scheduling responsibilities,” said Jo Damato, NBAA’s director of education development and strategy. “She plays a key role in NBAA Management Guide updates, International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations recommendations and in advocating for the scheduler’s role in emergency response preparedness.”
Pendleton says she is honored to receive this award. “Being a part of this team has been a labor of love,” she said. “I am repeatedly rewarded with professional relationships and personal friendships. It’s truly amazing how this journey that was started by a few individuals has continued to inspire not only me, but so many in this profession.”
