Leadership in Flight Training (LIFT) Academy will send LIFT graduates to Cape Air in a flow program to provide Cape Air with a pool of aviators to operate its daily passenger flights throughout their four regions in the Midwest, Montana, Caribbean and the Northeast. Upon completion of their flight training at LIFT Academy, graduates will transition to a First Officer role at Cape Air until they are qualified to upgrade to Captain status. As Cape Air pilots, they will build invaluable flight experience, prior to flowing to Republic Airways. Ceremony Set For Tuesday July 27th 1000CT at Theater In The Woods
Able Flight’s “Class of 2021” will be honored at a pilot wings pinning ceremony at EAA AirVenture on Tuesday, July 27th at 10:00 AM at Theater In The Woods. Six scholarship recipients earned their pilot certificates in the program this year, and all will be on stage to receive their pilot wings. This year’s pilots are T’angelo Magee, Michael Price, Peyton Wolter, David Snypes, Jr. and Sheila Xu. They include a veteran wounded in combat, two veterans who became disabled through accidents, a woman who is deaf, and two new pilots who use wheelchairs due to injuries from accidents.

The National Transportation Safety Board's investigation of Friday's crash of Transair flight 810 continues as investigators continue to gather information and evidence. Rhoades Aviation Inc., dba Transair, flight 810, a Boeing 737-200, ditched in the waters of Mamala Bay near Honolulu, shortly after takeoff from Daniel K. Inouye International Airport, Hawaii. Flight 810 was operating under Title 14, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 121, as a cargo flight bound for Kahului International Airport, Kahului, Hawaii. On June 15, 2021, about 1045 Pacific daylight time, a Cirrus Design Corp. SR20 airplane, N98423, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident at the Truckee-Tahoe Airport (TRK), Truckee, California. The flight instructor was fatally injured, and the student pilot sustained serious injuries. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 instructional flight.
