Anchorage Firm Becomes First To Export Capstone Technology
ADS-B Technologies says it's become the first to export Capstone
technology out of the US. Company President Skip Nelson said his
firm has signed a contract with the Civil Aviation Flight
University of China to sell US-developed Capstone products and
services in Asia.
The Flying Heritage Collection, featuring rare World War I and
World War II planes acquired by investor and philanthropist Paul G.
Allen and restored to flying condition, will display a portion of
its aircraft at the Arlington 2005 EAA Fly-In on July 6-10.
The Lancair Company is announcing certification of general
aviation’s first intelligent system for Columbia 350 and 400
certified aircraft. The climate control system allows Columbia
operators to set their desired cabin temperature using a digital
display on the instrument panel.
Cessna Aircraft Company says that their single engine piston
aircraft order book is bulging. Over the past three weeks, Cessna
has received over 450 single engine aircraft orders.
Piper Introduces Emergency Icing Protection On PA-32s
New Piper Aircraft, Inc. will offer its new Piper Inadvertent
Icing Protection System (PIIPS) as optional equipment on it's
unpressurized six-seat single-engine models.
Ballistic Recovery Systems has announced that it has signed a
strategic alliance agreement with Symphony Aircraft Industries
(SAI). The Joint agreement allows Symphony to become the first
certificated high-wing design to offer the parachute factory
installed.
Avidyne has launched its FlightCenter™ suite of
datalink-enabled services. FlightCenter delivers aviation services
both on the ground via the internet, and in the air through
Avidyne’s MultiLink™-enabled FlightMax Entegra
integrated flight deck, and FlightMax EX500 and EX5000
multi-function displays (MFD).
The FAA has granted an STC to McCauley Propeller Systems
for installation of a new three bladed propeller for the Beechcraft
Baron 95-55, 95-A55, 95-B55, 95-B55A, and 95-B55B. A new
three-bladed STC has also been awarded for the Cessna E310J, 310J
and 310L.

off the mark, and pilots inadvertently find themselves in icing
conditions, the build up of airframe ice can be quick and
dangerous."
