AeroSports Update: Rotax Training At AirVenture 2016

Extend Your Knowledge About The Rotax 912iS And Rotax 915iS Aircraft Engines

Various seminars and forums abound at EAA AirVenture, and we thought we would share this one with our readers because with more than 175,000 engines sold in 40 years, Rotax aircraft engines are a common installation in the light sport and ultra-light aircraft market. If you fly or own a special light sport aircraft, odds are it’s powered by a Rotax.

During EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2016, the Rotax Flying and Safety Club (RFSC) and BRP-Rotax are offering information training sessions about Rotax engines that will be conducted by experienced RFSC instructors. The sessions apply to the owners of factory produced airplanes and to others who are considering installing a Rotax engine on a homebuilt airplane.

These special workshops are addressed to those who would like to learn more about Rotax aircraft engines in general and about the Rotax 912iS aircraft engine in particular. On a daily basis, Rotax will hold two different types of information sessions at booth #265-267 for the entire AirVenture week. Here’s the schedule as it stands now:

  • Daily from 10:00-11:00 a.m. – Introduction of Rotax aircraft engines for everyone who is interested in the Rotax product line.
  • Daily from 1:00-2:00 p.m. – Rotax 912iS aircraft engine information for builders and others wanting to install the Rotax 912iS engine.

These special information training sessions are offered to the public free of charge. However, seating is limited and Rotax tells us it would be best to reserve your space early.
