Trespassers Cause Radar Malfunction In Pennsylvania

Four Broke Into An FAA Facility Snyder County

State police troopers were dispatched early Sunday to an FAA facility in Penn Township in Snyder County, PA after an alarm was triggered by four men trespassing on the property.

The four had entered an FAA tower tripping the alarm, which had caused an “air traffic directional range to malfunction, causing loss of aviation radar,” according to the police report.

The Daily Item reports that the names of the four, all 20 years old or younger, have not been released.

The incident occurred at 0129 local time, according to the police. The manager at nearby Penn Valley Airport said he had not heard of the break-in. The incident is still under investigation.
