To Be Held On The Third Day Of The Convention Set For Orlando In October
Students and faculty are invited to the 2018 Careers in Business Aviation Day, to be held on Thursday, Oct. 18 in Orlando, FL, during the third day of the annual NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE), the world’s largest and most important business aviation event of the year.
NBAA recognizes the value in exposing students to the global business aviation industry and inspiring them to pursue successful and rewarding aviation careers. Middle school, high school and college students, as well as their school’s faculty and chaperones, are invited to a day of student-focused programming and opportunities, including access to 1,100 exhibitors and over 100 aircraft on static display.
Each year, NBAA’s Careers in Business Aviation Day features a general session featuring an inspirational keynote speaker, followed by a tour of the exhibits, giving students an opportunity to see aircraft up close and ask questions. (The full speaker agenda for the 2018 event will be released in the months leading up to the show.)
Additionally, in partnership with the University Aviation Association, NBAA offers an annual roundtable networking event for college and university students, where they can connect directly with business aviation industry leaders to learn more about career paths, discuss professional goals and get advice on how to best prepare for a rewarding career. Students will have the opportunities to speak with:
- Flight department managers
- Pilots
- Schedulers
- Maintenance professionals
- HR personnel
- Recruiters
Admission to the one-day Careers in Business Aviation Day on Oct. 18 is free for all registered students, faculty and chaperones. College and university students currently enrolled in a UAA-member school also qualify for complimentary access to all three days of NBAA-BACE, Oct. 16-18. Those students should contact faculty advisors or the UAA directly to obtain the free registration code.
