Oshkosh, By The Numbers

Here is just a small sampling what's to come Monday, as EAA AirVenture 2006 gets underway!

  • $5-6 million budget
  • 200 full and part time staff plus an additional 50-75 interns and summer help
  • 4,000 volunteers
  • 1,100 port-o-potties cleaned 6 times a day
  • 700,000 visitors anticipated
  • 60 nations represented
  • 2,500 - 3,000 show planes
  • 10,000 - 12,000 aircraft to converge at area airports for AirVenture
  • 40,000 onsite campers
  • More than 800 aviation exhibitors
  • More than 500 forums, workshops and seminars
  • ...And 20+ dedicated (and just a little crazy) ANN stringers, staffers, and volunteers to bring it ALL to you!
