FAA Taps Regional Administrator For VP Air Traffic Services

Glen Martin Will Relocate To Washington, D.C.

The FAA has promoted one of its regional administrators to a new post in Washington, D.C. Glen Martin, Regional Administrator for Western Pacific Region, has been selected as the Vice President, Air Traffic Services and will be heading east.

According to the State Aviation Journal, Martin has been a regional administrator for the past two-and-a-half years. In an internal memo, the FAA said that Dennis Roberts, Regional Administrator for the Southern Region, will be reassigned to the Western Pacific Region as Administrator. The agency expects a "seamless" transition, according to the memo.

The memo went on to state that Roberts has extensive knowledge, experience and expertise, coupled with an excellent support staff, which will allow him to effectively continue managing the myriad aircraft/helicopter noise complaints, Metroplex projects and the emerging UAS industry in the western region.

The personnel actions are expected to be wrapped up by mid-February of next year.
