Flight Safety First To Meet FAA SMS Requirements

Demonstrates Compliance With FAA, ICAO Safety Standards To Achieve Recognition

FlightSafety International announces that it is the first FAR Part 142 training provider to be recognized by the FAA for meeting its Safety Management System requirements.

“We are pleased and proud of this significant accomplishment,” said Bruce Whitman, President and CEO. “Receiving this recognition from the FAA further demonstrates FlightSafety’s commitment to achieve and maintain the highest safety standards. We sincerely appreciate the efforts of our Teammates who worked to develop and qualify our Safety Management System.”

To achieve this recognition, FlightSafety demonstrated that it meets the FAA Flight Standards SMS requirements and the framework established by the International Civil Aviation Organization in its Safety Management Manual. The components of safety management allow FlightSafety to proactively identify and manage potential safety risks to aircraft operations. In addition, SMS fosters collaboration with aircraft manufacturers, Customers and regulators to ensure safety information is shared throughout the industry.
