GoPro Releases Video From New UAV

No Images Of The Aircraft, But Nice Video

While we still don't have a clear idea what the aircraft will look like, GoPro has released a sneak preview of the kind of video that can be captured with its entry into the UAV market.

UAVs have been fitted with GoPro cameras almost since people began flying them, but earlier this year, the sport camera maker announced that it would be building its own aircraft and stabilization system. In the video, GoPro is adamant that the images presented "have not been stabilized in post production."

The company also points out that the video was "captured using a developmental prototype of GoPro's quadcopter and stabilization system."

The information with the video does not give any indication when one might be able to purchase a GoPro UAV. Marketwatch compares the video to that capture by a DJI Phantom or Yuneec Typhoon, both Chinese-make quadcopters.

You can judge for yourself.
