Royal Canadian Air Force Foundation Announces Winners Of STEM Scholarships

225 Future Canadian Leaders In Flight and Space Recieve One of Canada’s Largest Scholarships

The Royal Canadian Air Force Foundation has announced the recipients of its scholarships designed to support Canada’s upcoming generation of leaders in science and space. The program goals also intend to help meet Canada’s rapidly growing demand for skilled people.

The scholarships set out to encourage Canadian youth, age 25 and younger, to enter the STEM field or flight training that will set the building blocks for their future careers in Aviation or Aerospace.

Jeremy Diamond, Founding CEO of the RCAF Foundation said submissions from young Canadians across the country spoke strongly about career aspirations, contributions to these fields of endeavor, and to a vision for the future of aviation and aerospace. "Tremendously inspiring," he said.

Additionally, the program received a sizable donation that allowed the Foundation to be able to provide 225 scholarships to the program and provide even more young Canadians with the opportunity to study and follow their passions.

Applicants were to answer two questions:

  • What are your career aspirations and vision for your future in Aviation and Aerospace?
  • What is the most important character attribute or personal life experience you possess that will help you make a meaningful contribution to your future workplace and community?

The RCAF Foundation is a non-profit organization with the mission to “recognize, foster and celebrate the Royal Canadian Air Force through community engagement education programs and commemorative activities.”

The value of this first scholarship program is now $125,000 and intends to continue annually. For the full list of recipients, visit the official link below.
