William Gay Elevated To Director Of Completion Sales For Gulfstream

Its A Promotion For The 10 Year Gulfstream Employee

Gulfstream Aerospace has named industry veteran William Gay (pictured, right) director, Completion Sales.  He reports to Larry Flynn, senior vice president, Marketing and Sales. In his new position, Gay supervises and coordinates the Completion Sales activities for the company's completion centers in Savannah and Brunswick, GA, Long Beach, CA, Appleton, WI, and Dallas, TX.

Most recently, Gay had been a Gulfstream Completion Sales executive for more than 10 years, serving as that department's process team leader.  In that capacity, he worked directly with customers to define their aircraft completion requirements. Gay's responsibilities included assisting with the preparation of aircraft completion proposals, providing contract negotiation support, monitoring technical specifications for the design and construction of aircraft interiors, and assisting with product pricing and product development.

Prior to rejoining Gulfstream in 2000, Gay was a sales manager for nearly five years at Goodrich Avionics Systems (now L-3 Communications) in Grand Rapids, MI.  Gay began his career at Gulfstream as a buyer in the Repair and Overhaul Services department from 1992 to 1996.  He later became a senior buyer, a subcontract administrator and a sales engineer.

Gay holds a bachelor's degree in marketing and a master's degree in business management from Georgia Southwestern College (now Georgia Southwestern State University) in Americus.  A certified flight instructor for single-engine airplanes, he has single and multi-engine commercial licenses.
