AD: Pacific Aerospace Limited Airplanes

AD NUMBER: 2018-06-09

PRODUCT: Pacific Aerospace Limited Model 750XL airplanes.

ACTION: Final Rule; request for comments.

SUMMARY: This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by the aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product.

The MCAI describes the unsafe condition as the possibility for the control column to snag on the cockpit control tee handles on certain airplanes.

DATES: This AD is effective April 9, 2018. Comments must be received by May 3, 2018.

COST: The FAA estimates that this AD will affect 22 products of U.S. registry. It further estimates that it will take about 2 work-hours per product to comply with the basic requirements of this AD. The average labor rate is $85 per work-hour.

Based on these figures, the FAA estimates the cost of the AD on U.S. operators to be $3,740, or $170 per product.
