Lan Chile Praised for Food, Lounge

LanChile is honored by Latin Trade magazine in the publication's "Best of Latin America" awards, resulting from an exclusive poll of more than 70,000 frequently traveling executives. LanChile was awarded "Best Airline Food" and "Best Airport Lounge." In addition, the Comodoro Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport in Santiago was named "Best International Airport."

"We are proud to receive these outstanding accolades from Latin Trade and its readers," said Pablo Montesinos, LanChile's Vice President North/Central America and Asia. "We are constantly striving to provide our passengers with the highest possible level of service and once again this continues to be recognized by travelers."

According to the study, LanChile won the "Best Airline Food" award by a wide margin. LanChile's unique menus are designed by select chefs from Chile, Peru and Argentina, and the award-winning wine selection is chosen by the airline's personal Master Sommelier, the only one in Latin America. According to the study "LanChile for several years has racked up a long list of aviation industry awards for its wine cellar, one of the top among global airlines."

"Best Airport Lounge" was awarded to LanChile for its outstanding, 7150 square foot Pablo Neruda Lounge at Santiago International Airport, which was named the "Best International Airport." Since opening a year ago, LanChile's VIP lounge in Santiago has also been receiving accolades, including Forbes' list of the top 10 VIP lounges in the world. Offering passengers the highest quality of service and technology were two of the key aspects taken into consideration when designing LanChile's new lounge.
