Cessna Caravan Gets Starlink With AeroMech’s STC

Additional High-Speed Connectivity Option For Versatile Aircraft

Textron Aviation announced that Starlink high-speed internet will be available for installation on the Cessna Caravan after the FAA approved AeroMech’s Supplemental Type Certification for the Low Earth Orbit connectivity solution.

Starlink provides reliable connectivity over areas where legacy in-flight WiFi may not have service.

Brian Rohloff, Senior Vice President of Customer Support for Textron Aviation said, “The Cessna Caravan is so versatile, it can go almost anywhere, and Textron Aviation understands the importance of providing a connectivity solution in more of the places our customers want to go.”

He added, “The Caravan recently celebrated its 40th anniversary and offering Starlink high-speed connectivity upgrade continues to provide customers with the latest technology, no matter where the aircraft is in its lifecycle.”

The STC covers AeroMech’s standalone Starlink Aviation Kit that consists of an Aero Terminal or antenna, a power supply unit, two wireless access points, and harnessing. It requires only power input from the aircraft.

Interested customers can schedule the upgrade to be installed at North American Textron Aviation Service Centers and at selected International Service Centers. In addition to the Starlink installation, Textron customers can receive factory-direct support, maintenance, and modifications for their Beechcraft, Cessna, and Hawker aircraft through a global network of more than 300 authorized service and parts centers and mobile service units.

In addition to the new Carvan option, Starlink is also available for the following models: Citation X and X+, 560 Excel, XLS, XLS+, XLS Gen 2 models, as well as the Beechcraft King Air 200 and 300 Series aircraft.
