Matt Hall Unable To Race In Red Bull Vegas Event

Raceplane Issues Put An End To The Australian’s Season

At the final stop of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship in Las Vegas, Australian pilot Matt Hall and his racing team discovered a serviceability issue with their raceplane during preparations. The aircraft was unable to be fixed ahead of this weekend's race and the team's result will be recorded as a Did Not Start (DNS).

"Obviously we are all very disappointed as we came to Las Vegas excited about the prospect of defending the race title we won here last season," said Hall. "It's a shame for our season to end like this but we are now already turning our attention to 2017 and look forward to again challenging for the Red Bull Air Race World Championship."

A Did Not Start (DNS) result will mean that Hall will collect no points at the season finale at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. However, Hall has already claimed 55.75 points this season, which has guaranteed him a second place finish in the World Championship standings.
