FAA Grants PMA Approval For Able Aerospace Replacement Parts

Move Gives Bell Operators A Broader Range Of Maintenance Options

The FAA has granted Parts Manufacturing Approval (PMA) and authorization to Able Aerospace to produce several new replacement parts for Bell rotorwing aircraft. Able will immediately begin offering the following parts from their facility in Phoenix, Arizona:

  • Bell 407 Wear Sleeve (p/n 099380)
  • Bell 206L Journal Bearing (p/n 206-033-517-007)
  • Bell 206A/B Bushing (p/n 206-011-128-103)
  • Bell 206A/B/L Race (p/n 206-011-111-003)
  • Bell 206A/B/L Race (p/n 047-641-175-001AA)
  • Bell 206A/B Bushing (p/n 206-031-513-101)
  • Bell 205A-1/212/412 Upper Housing Assembly (p/n 41003203AA)

The FAA grants approval through its Aircraft Certification Office and Manufacturing Inspection District Office only after strict inspection of the part’s airworthiness and an audit of a company's facilities and processes. It is the same evaluation the original manufacturer must go through.

Able Aerospace  has developed over 7,000 FAA-approved proprietary repairs and more than 400 PMA parts for fixed-wing and rotor-wing aircraft operators. The company's list of certifications includes approval from the FAA, EASA, Thai DCA, China’s CAAC, ISO9110:2008 and Boeing AS-9100 quality standards.
