TRU Simulation Delivers Bell 505 FTD To Jordan

Royal Jordanian Air Force Also Gets Computer-Based Training And Support

TRU Simulation + Training announced the delivery of a Bell 505 Flight Training Device to the Royal Jordanian Air Force. The FTD and its integrated computer-based training package for basic and advanced rotorcraft flight training are part of a recent purchase of 10 Bell 505 helicopters to the RJAF.

The simulator training will take place at the King Hussein Air College in Mafraq, Jordan.

The Bell 505 FTD is an advanced simulation tool that includes a detailed Bell 505 cockpit frame with seats, flight controls, and the usual panels. It is equipped with two Garmin G1000H NXi displays, a simulated electronic standby instrument module, a Garmin GMA 350Hc, and a simulated Technisonic TDFM-920 radio. It accurately replicates the current production model of the Bell 505 plus additional features that were requested.

The engine, flight controls, aerodynamics, and sound models provide the highest level of fidelity for a realistic training experience, and supports both VFR and IFR training. The direct projection surround visual system provides a full immersion environment and the capability for formation flying.

Jerry Messaris, Vice President and General Manager of TRU Simulation said, “The Bell 505 Flight Training Device provides the Royal Jordanian Air Force a highly advanced training solution that enhances pilot readiness through realistic simulation of flight procedures and emergency scenarios. We are honored to collaborate with Bell in delivering this advanced capability, reflecting our shared commitment to the global advancement of aviation training technology.”

TRU Simulation + Training is a Textron company and an affiliate of Bell Textron.
